![]() This combined analysis was carried out with the aim of theoretically predict and design stable formulations of ME. Besides, we have studied the interfacial behavior, at the air/water interface (A/W), of VAS/DPPC pseudo-binary mixtures with different VAS/PC molar ratios. We have used this technique to characterize the composition and thermal behavior of monomolecular layers of L-α-phosphatidylcholine (EPC) and 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DPPC) at the Vaseline/water interface (VAS/W) by using a homemade Langmuir interfacial trough. In this context, Langmuir monomolecular films at the liquid-liquid interface can be used as experimental models to investigate the dynamic behavior of surfactants at the oil/water (O/W) interface in ME. ![]() Lipid miniemulsions (ME) are oil in water (O/W) dispersions stabilized by an interfacial layer of a surfactant and are systems commonly used to encapsulate, maintain, and release molecules of pharmacological interest.
